MHRA Consultation Letter MLX 364

The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) in the UK wishes to consult with all relevant stakeholders on whether to bring all NCPs – with the exception of tobacco and tobacco products – within the medicines licensing regime.

The MHRA suggest three options in their consultation document, MLX 364, relating to currently unlicensed NCPs, such as electronic cigarettes containing nicotine and nicotine gels.

Interested parties have until the 2nd June  2010 to submit their comments to the MHRA’s proposals.
